Whats a decent strong wheel cleaner for satin black wheels?

I've been using Wonder Wheels colour active stuff from Asda as it's cheap at £7.00 a bottle but I'm finding it still leaves brown residue inside the wheels. It will come off eventually but after spending half hour on each wheel..

I used Meguiars wheel brightener on the satin wheels on my 200 and although I’ve read it’s got very very slight acidity I had absolutely no issues with it using it weekly for almost 2 years.

I also used it on the gloss black alloys on my RB 200 for years with no ill effect.

It’s very reasonably priced if you buy the big 4 litre and dilute it right down. Get the megs Wheel brightener spray bottle and it shows you exactly what the dilution ratio is.

Iron out? As in iron remover? I’m pretty sure that iron removers such as ironX are completely safe to use on all paint.
They are safe but not recommended for regular washes. Better used for deep clean and decontamination. That's what I've heard anyway. Could be bulls**t but not worth the risk seeing as there are plenty of other wheel cleaners.
Who knows

Sounds like utter nonsense to me. It’s either safe or it isn’t.

After reading up, just as I thought. IronX is completely non acidic and won’t do any harm to paint whatsoever.

Fair enough. Iron x is just an iron remover right ?
The wheel cleaner I was talking about might be a bit different. Every days a school day though

After a new wax to try out.

Anyone got any to sell etc? Durability not an issue as i clean the car weekly.

It's on my Black Golf.
I have the Blackfire Midnight one if you want it? Beautiful wax, especially on dark colours. £20 posted.

Probably my favourite gloss wax, just don't get to wax anymore sadly. I'll even throw in some DJpurple haze for you to try.

Iron X is that safe it's wax safe! It's literally almost PH Neutral and way safer than any wheel cleaner.

Bilt Hamber Korrosol is what I've used recently to clean wheels. Does as good as job as the Gtechniq W6 I was using before hand without the silly price.

Smells like actual vomit though but most iron and fallout removers seem to smell awful.

Bloody loved the small pot of Capture the Rapture I had.
Think I have some Purple Haze Pro somewhere as well.

Snow foam of choice? BH?
Yeah definitely, I’ve been using the Valet Pro snow foam for a very long time just recently thought try another brand and got the BH Autofoam as it’s got a load of good reports and it’s on another level, it doesn’t foam as much but it’s got so much cleaning power it’s takes off so much more traffic film than I thought it would. Definitely go for it for the price at if i remember corretly £18 ish for 5ltrs, get 2 bottles of it as it will sell out fast.

Did anyone buy the G3 paste wax? After using it today I'd struggle to buy anything else. With the car bring black and an ass, this is stupidly easy to use.

Folks: is Auto Finesse Tough Coat still a current product? Can't see it listed anywhere on their website. Out of stock on Amazon and noted listed on Halfrauds and the like. Been out of the detailing game for a bit so a bit behind on what's hot and not.

Cheers.

Looking for the best solution to remove number plate sticky pads from car please?
Autosmart Tardis will deal with this with ease or if you have not got any to hand I have also used WD40 which can remove sticky pad residue.SJ.

Bought a 0ppm Di Vessel (Aqua Gleam) to try.

Will be interesting to see how well it works.

There are lots of products that are exactly the same. AF TC is rebottled from main supplier. A lot of smaller companies have their own version.

Better with something like gtechniq c2 v3.

Should definitely be fine then, but the AF tripple will need to be really worked in to the paint so the abrasives and cleaners can do their job, that’s why I said it would do wonders by a machine polisher as it can be very hard on the arms without one.SJ.

I thought Tipple wasnt that abrasive? Just had lots of fillers? More of a refine as opposed to a corrective product? Someone put me right!
