How much is my ph1 worth?

Im just curious really. Its an x reg in silver with 81k on it. I would say in very good condition bar a few marks here and there. Pretty much standard albeit with eibach sportlines and a jms induction kit. Drives spot on with plenty of tax and mot etc. What do you think?

Hi Guys, could do with some help.

Bit of an unusual one due to the condition of my car but I'm getting rid of my Clio and could do with an idea/guess of what to expect and what is going to be the easiest way for me as I don’t really have any experience of selling cars or if this one is worth selling.

how much is it worth?

2002 172ff , silver, 1 month mot, 2 months tax, 95k, some service history. tidy bodywork with very little scratches etc. interior good condition. now the faults :- dephasser pulley has gone and very noisey, also a bang from under the drivers footwell when accelerating hardish, been a few things it could be. just want to know how much it would be worth in its present condition. thanks for the info ...

thanks for the replies, been quoted 600 quid to get the dephaser pulley, cam kit, aux belt and tensioner done, is this the going rate? im can get all the parts through my step dad as he owns a car spares shop so the parts would be cost price. The price quoted was including me supplying the parts and the mechanics labour, so labour charges would be 400 quid and parts 200 quid.

55 plate 8v? I thought from 2000-ish they were all 16v?

ph3/4 they pumped out some basic 8v's {60hp} to run along side the 16v. Still use them in the 1.2 twingos I think.



....anyone idea on price?

8valve is still in production in the twingo, was last in the clio2 in 2008 when they stopped making them

No mention of cambelt service. Least desirable colour.

Pricing it at £2300 would have been a quick sale. Your price is high end TBH.

For the one above, as Cat C, try more like £1200. No belts and accident damaged? Nah.

What about mine?

2005 plate inferno 182 cup with 54,000 miles.

Cambelt done, full service history with Mark Fish and Ren7oaks.

Orbisoud manifold back exhaust, Maxogen induction kit, Momo steering wheel (no air bag), Scroth harnesses, Recaro SPG bucket seats (solid mounted), Safety Devices rear roll cage, Renault Speedline Turinis, Yozzasport brake ducts, ds2500 pads, braided brake lines.

Bad bits -

Traction control light on, think the new ring sensor needs calibrating.

ABS and SERV lights on, due to no air bag and seat belts missing.

I'd say without the problems & the mods it's prob worth around £4,5k but because of the mods, it may be worth a fair bit more..but to a smaller market.

Previous owner worked for renault and spent £1500 on parts @ cost so pretty well sorted

I'd probably agree with AliBailey88's tbh mate as this is what I was thinking in the first place. £1200 for my 172 is not right. The damage was just front end bumper and I had that sorted in a couple of days. Full service history with Turinis and is in immaculate condition. It's probably in better condition than most of the 172s kicking around. Half a years tax and test with zero dings/marks. People pay a grand for a 1.2 with dings/scratches.

People get a bit frantic when it comes to the old Cat C/D signs in my opinion.

I'll give this a go as well of thats cool.

2004 182 with 65K miles on the clock, all the belts done around 2k miles ago has miltek cat back system as well as lowered 30mm on Eibach springs. Full climate control and cruise control.
Some scrapes and dings on the bodywork and wheels nothing too obvious, is missing one of the steering wheel thumb pieces. Thats pretty much all thats done it to it.
