Help please misfire on a 02 172

Firstly wanna say hi iv just brought my first Clio 172 on a 02 reg.
When I was on my way home after buying the car it decided to run on 3 cylinders so iv changed the coil and leads and plugs yesterday but didn't solve the problem.
When I first start the car up it runs fine as soon as I put it in gear and drive it turns in to a horrible Subaru sound I have found a few post on the net with the same problem but they never end up telling you what the problem is .i am thinking it mite be a head gasget gone but it don't over heat but there is condensation steel when hot out of the exhaust has anyone else had this problem and help me before I do strip the head off many thanks and hi again.

Injector.

Unplug each of them one by one. If the engine doesnt get any worse when you unplug one then that one is at fault. To confirm. swap it with another and unplug it again and if it doesnt change then replace it

I forgot to mention that it is using alot of fuel too like 21mpg

Just tryed the injectors made a big difference in the running so it's not them on idle mostly running lumpy but it dose sort it self out for a second the gose back to lumpy

Looking at the car and unplugging everything im starting to think the cambelt has slipped

my bits never showed up m8 but im 90% sure it could be 1 of them as i did the injector thing,new plugs ,leads, coil pack....it better b the lamdas or shes goin up in smoke lol

Lol I uncliped my lambda sensor and I could tell the difference so I no mine is working so now I'm going to be doing a cambelt change striping it down in the week and finishing it off in the weekend if it is steel the same stripping the head off and checking the valves and putting a new head gasget on

some others might say it also could be a map sensor located on the l/h side of the inlet mani,,,try and clean that.dont reckon head gasket would have out to do with a misfire m8

Lambda Sensor... exactly the same problem as my Cup experienced. Didn't show up on the diagnostics either!

You can swap the lambda sensors round to see if it fixes the problem before you go spending.

got the parts on and still the fuckin same ,am at a loss with it now ,the last thing im gunna try is a coil pack,other than that m8 i aint gotta clue wots goin on with it...

Rite working now and it was number 3 injector
