Korky's Ph1

So, i finally bought a ph1 after getting ultimate gip and abuse of craig and kris on here, and the insurance is sensible(ish).

I went down to Peterborough (about 140 miles away) to go buy what seemed like a 'mint' flamer, however when we got there it was absolute mess, with dents in either side and keyed on both so instantly walked away.

On the way back up i was autotrader and spotted what seemed like a really clean titanium, rang the owner and he worked for jct600 Ferrari, i met him at the garage as the clio was being stored there with some other amazing cars! After agreeing a really good deal i left a deposit and the car would be ready for the following saturday with new service, full mot and tax.

Car spec -

Engine:
Engine (82,000 FSH)
Itg panel filter

Suspension & wheels:
K-tec Coilovers
15 oz f1's wrapped in toyo t1r's

Interior:
Omp 320mm steering wheel

Exterior:
Carbon wrapped roof
Carbon wrapped cup spoiler
6k hid's
Ph2 side strips and bullets
Ph2 splitter
Ph2 rear lights
Silvertech bulbs all round
(A lot of polish)

After getting her home the first thing to do was to throw up as i was absolutely hanging from the night before! Then remove the carbon wrap that was on the front bumper and side skirts. one side skirt is missing about an inch size piece of paint so them and the handles and boot lock will be in for paint very soon. The Coilovers weren't quite as low as i wanted them and the fronts were seized so that was a little bit of a nightmare but other than that its been spot on.
I have quite a few plans for it so will keep this updated :)

Got the dash all in, wired up and working?

Good work if so :)

Worst pictures ever so far though, get out there and take some decent ones!

Haven't updated in a while, finally wired up the lock switches and rear window demister (big help from craig 172)!

It had a machine polish before fcs and a good tidy up.

Recently painted a few things in the engine bay and removed the air con.

Need to get my arse into gear and order exhaust and mounts.

Few pictures from fcs.

Re: Titanium Ph1 172

looks mint, i like the coded strips and ph2 bullets, might have to do that to mine in the future :)

Cheers mate!

On Friday fitted a ktec stealth, sounds pretty good!

Shitty halfords clamp snapped on it though this morning and it come apart on the motorway so I had to be revered home. All sorted now.

Whilst I was off for the day I decided to remove the carbon wrap from the roof, it was abit of a nightmare but all done now, managed to get a coat of polish on before it started raining.

Also decided to remove the carbon from the spoiler and front badge, the spoiler seems to be iceberg so I will get that painted but doesn't look to bad I guess. The car looks alot cleaner now I think .

Re: Titanium Ph1 172

Picked up an aluminium bonnet off 'Craig172' today, bit of a machine polish and it came up well. Will get pictures up later.
Love the silver and purple theme on the kirk!!

Cheers for the comments guys!

Going to have a go at removing a few little scratches this weekend by flagging them and then machine polishing.

Haha youuuuu knowwwwwww!!! Its a maybe at the miniut but we'll see haha! If plans go ahead photos will be on facebook etc!

Little update, exhaust managed to work loose and drop off ending in a bent mess under the rear axle, so whilst I was having it a repaired I had the centre box removed. It's fair to say it sounds crazy now, and pops and bangs.

Got a 182 manifold and cup alternator brackets arriving this week hopefully

Titanium Ph1 172

Paint the cup alternator and the brackets, just waiting for belts to come, also have some ported inlets to go on when I put this on.

Stripped the car down today as alot of things are in for paint this weekend.
Also cleaned all the inner arches out and painted the rear axle ready for winter.

Raised the car up by around 10mm aswell, lost alot of skin and blood in the process aswell! bloody hate coilover spanners!

Pictures to follow!

Each wheel was cleaned and sealed for winter, coilovers cleaned greased and raided slightly.

Also got door handles painted by no chance to put them on, and the rear boot lock but turns out the fixing points are broke so will need to get another done.

The car got a decent clean but will be getting a winter protection detail next weekend.

Re painted the brake callipers.

Sorry about the s**t photos it was cold today and I really couldn't be arsed.

Next weekend I will get the dslr out and get some decent shots and pictures of the new parts that should be coming this week.

Cheers for the positive comments
