Bit of a odd problem, just wondered if many ppl have encountered this before.
My Gen90 was previously mapped by KTR and has now been mapped at EFI parts, Chris has raised the rev limiter to 7850, however on the dyno the car wouldn't rev above 7600rpm, Chris suspected a glitch on the ECU or a...
Anyone using 120mm 45mmID trumpets in their KTEC DTH bodies WITHOUT angle
Modifications?
I understand you will need to trim bonnet and use a larger filter.
Taking measurements from the current bodies with 90mm trumpets and total length from head to end of trumpet is 280mm, that only gives...
Had a double take at a Caged 172 Cup ( with other track bits bolted on., parked outside Pets at Home in Aylesford, Kent at the weekend (Saturday). Looking good
Friends having problems with his 2005 1.4s mk3.
When accelerating he gets a loss of power, its intermittent so doesn't not happen all the time, its almost like prolonged flat spot.
Any ideas?

Just fitting a set of second hand Wilwoods. Got them on but them is. Slight bit of movement, about 1mm side to side. Its where the calliper meets the alloy bracket. Iv tried tightening up the two allen key bolts, but still has movement.
Is this ok?
The windscreen washer pump does not spray but still works as you can hear it working, iv also removed all the tubes to check doe blockages but all good. Water does not come out of any of the ports on the pump.
On closer inspection water can be seen filling up inside the sensor plug!
Its almost...
As reported in a other thread when dropping my subframe I manage to sheer 13mm bolts that hold the small triangle support brackets in place. I manage to drill out one of the bolts, but one of the others threads has been over bored. The bolt is located in the subframe where there is no way of...
Today I changed I replaced the inner and outer FARB bushes to poly bushes, managed to release the inside ones, but having difficulty trying to put the bolt back into the C clamp, I have measured the bushes and they are the correct parts. Any tips on how to do this easily?
Cheers

Just swapped my engines over on the 172 cup with a 182 engine and noticed a extra plug above the oil filter, turns out its the knock sensor. The thing is I still have the knock sensor plug floating around in the engine bay (always wondered what it was for, thought it was redundant due to the...
As per title?
I can confirm its def not a 10mm 12 sided HEX socket...there is a little movement, so im guessing the bolts are in standard (Imperial) sizes and not metric?
What's best solution, I dont want to end up scratching the hell out of my poly windows, and on that note, any products/techniques to remove swirls/light scratches?
cheers
Just in the process of fitting some ARP bolts to my 182 replacement engine, I have a new sump gasket to go on. Reading the Haynes manual (for 1.6) as a guide, it says that Rhodorseal 5661 sealant is to be used around the oil seal housing and main bearing cap where it meets the cylinder block...
I removed the whole of the oem alarm system (A-pillar sensors, bonnet mech, alarm siren and all wiring) from the track car yesterday and now the car wont start. The engine turns over once or twice but does not fire up. I capped off any exposed wires with heat shrinking tube to eliminate any...
Im looking at doing a engine swap in the next few weeks.
My original engine has been mapped with 438 cams, the replacement engine will have oem cams. Will I be able to run the replacement engine on the original remap in order to drive it to a specialist to get it mapped?
The ECU is a GEN90...
Hope this is the right section.
Does a new clutch for a ph2 come with the alignment tool or do I need to purchase it, if so what type/size do I need do I need.
Thanks
So I stripped the Air bag ECU out the other day and cut wires back. I did not strip the wires back to the loom/ecu, just the airbag ecu.
Now my rev counter and coolant temp gauge are not working.
What happened, are they linked?
Cheers
Im looking at fitting a FIA master cut of switch.
I need to locate and splice into the feed from the ignition switch to the ignition coil.
Looking at the wiring diagrams (without starting to cut wires up in the car) can someone point out what wire it is. Im guessing it could be the white wire...
Strange problem.
Driving on motorway for a few hours in the rain, pulled off slip then into a minor road. At this stage the exhaust note changed ( got louder) and then i had no engine power. The car was still drivable.
Pull over and inspected the car and all seems fine!
Continued to drive and...
For those that have fixed poly windows, for the fronts did you bolt in the bottoms from the outside or the inside.
Has anyone had any problems with water leaking in through the seals?
CheeRS
I suppose this is a solution...
For those that have fitted a fire extinguisher system (pull cable and 6mm tube), what is the best location/route through the bulk head. I want the pull cable to be above the driver side.
I have lifted off the scuttle panel and can see the air blower, to the left...
