Over the tired standard stuff then yes, its night and day difference. The main thing i have noticed is the ride quality. The banging and crashing from the worn parts has gone. The ride is taught and firm, but well damped and compliant on the road. As a road car it works just right for me. I went...
Was thinking of getting some of these for the rear http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?678162-Hub-Spacers-2nd-Batch
I like the standard alloys. Had tracking set up today. Steering now feels perfect. It was a little wayward before. With new suspension it is really feeling good now
I regularly go around there in my RB to Penn Road to visit in laws. Not me though. Used to have Inferno to. Think it was your project thread i read through a few weeks ago. Nice car
Nice mods. Like the samco. Colour is spot on. Might have to do one on mine at some point. When i get my wheels off for a clean i will do what you have done. Cracking job. Will do the Mrs Sportage when it arrives on 1st March before she ruins it too ;)
Meguiars tyre shine. Pretty good stuff, an old bottle in the garage. Made an effort for the picture ;)
Splitter was on car when i purchased it so not sure if its KTEC. I like it though. Fairly subtle as i want to keep it really
Just gave the car a quick wash. The suspension is great. Car is still compliant for day to day use but the ride height looks good now, being not too low and the composure over bumpy roads is excellent.
Jobs for the next few months:
* Tracking and Eibach camber bolts fitted
* Retrim steering...
I just put brand new cup shocks and cooksport springs on my RB. Transormed. Well worth it and work superbly on crappy british roads. Did 40 mile b road blast today :) Coilovers look great though Joe
My old JDM EP3
I loved that car!! So quick, superb build quality and great driving position. Crazy revs and 9k red line was addictive. The steering was awful and when i got a 172 cup after selling it it felt so cheap and flimsy, and slow, but was so involving to drive.
I had a K plate Metro GTi back in 1997. It was a great car. My first hot(ish) hatch. Being a youth then i ragged it everywhere and it never ever skipped a beat in 2 years. Handling was ok but at the limit the rear was a bit bouncy, but good cheap fun. It was my pride and joy.
Will take some pics after a good drive out tomorrow. I was not really after a super low look but a good ride and improved handling. May as well try to improve the cars best feature
The suspension on mine needed replacing. The damping was not great and the ride had got crashy and hard. Felt awful compared to my old cup i had new. The car is literally transformed. I plan to do arb bushes, ball joints, track rods etc in future but it is so good now I will be in no rush. Ride...
Really nice example. I have one with Miltek and a few other mods you have done or mentioned. Did my suspension today with cooksports. Wow!! Just need to get it as clean as yours now;)
Quick update........
*Changed oil with Fuchs Titan S 5w-40 and new Renault Oil Filter
*Changed air filter to Pipercross panel filter
*Replaced front and rear shock absorbers, top mounts and fitted modified top mount nut (no knocking/squeeking at all)
*Fitted Cooksport springs
I have done all...
I had read that the Miltek systems did not always sit dead centre and mine was well off. It was just a case of trial and error. I fitted the powerflex mounts as per the guide on here. I had to modify the mounts to allow some movement side to side and i adjusted the brace strap between the two...
I found the details on here.

Ordered 2 x EXH 008 Powerflex mounts off Fleabay for £12 inc postage ;)
Bit tricky to get it sitting dead centre but I got there in the end with some...
He has had 2 VI RSX lightweights. Wrote the one off and blew the other one up last year. Superb tool but costa fortune to run and maintain. He is yet to buy another. Toying with C63 AMG, M3 V8, Audi RS4 etc etc. He still loves the clios and when we did a few track days couple of years ago he was...
