I'm shortly fitting new front shocks and springs all round to the 182 and have a bit of money left in the kitty. Which polybushes would make the most difference to the feel of the car given a budget of about 50-75quid...(or which ones would you start with replacing in other words)
Thanks folks.
Finally got round to sorting my non-working washers. Wipers off, scuttle off, linkage off, bottle out, cylinder found, rubber trimmed and reverse. Job done, now all working :-)
@mayur_my. Optical is correct, it can be tight and maybe worth assembling prior to fitting. Ignore the silicon pipe in the pic but the swaged ends of yours are like this?
external pipe diameter of 70mm with swaged ends is the correct fit chap. You may need to smear the filter neck with a dab of vaseline first if its dead tight though but it'll go in - assuming you've got the correct filter size. The jubilee then tightens up behind the swage.
Fitted mine today and well pleased. Ash made me up a silicon pipe with alloy swaged inserts with 70mm external diameters for each end. It made fitting dead easy as both ends (engine and filter end) can be adjusted for length. This was about 16 quid. I also went with the smaller offset Ram Air...
Found some 13cm Kenwood speakers in the garage that look to be a straight swap for the crappy oem front door speakers. Couldn't fit them though as have zero crimping connectors in the house. Once I've got them fitted it should be a quick fix prior to better cabling etc etc
Yeah it works well - mine came up a treat but needed a couple goes on each headlight . Easy to follow instructions and now 10 x better than before. Shame the insides of the lenses aren't great otherwise would be perfect.
as above, I've searched and not actually found a definitive answer. Have been looking at the Pure MS 10mm spacer kit, and provided they are torqued up ok, safe to use with standard length bolts??
Many thanks.
Well, picked up a PAS pipe set off Ebay dead cheap and got the job done this weekend. Must admit, its a b**ch of a job and I bailed - calling in my local spanner monkey to sort it for us. All seems ok now...lets the mods commence! Thanks fellas, much appreciated.
hi folks, I'm a new fully paid up member and picked up a nice 182 this week. It's got an oil leak which I'm after advice on please. Not hugely mechanically minded so thought I would post a few pics here to see if it's a common problem area. The belts and dephaser pulley were changed last week...
hello folks.....picked this up in the week as a project car/weekend toy for me and the boy (he's 11 and the biggest petrol head I know). The car's pretty solid, already got a Miltek and de cat and we've a few initial jobs lined up for it....springs, brakes, decent tyres, tidy up bodywork...
