Im about to fit my 4th set of discs in 2 years. All for bearing failure. Always refit the spacer the correct way and torque correctly. What's going on?
I hear you fella. I've a remapped S3 Quattro that the wife uses as her daily (only does 40 to 50 miles a week), we've had imprezas, turbo'd beasts, gsi's, gti's and the like. I own a couple of Motorsport cars to.. But I have been bitten by this crappy Clio.
I bought my phase 2 172 just to get the thing out of my system. Wanted a sporty Clio for a while, but I have hated all things Renault with a passion since I started working in my fathers workshop 25 years ago. I gave up trying to find a good 205 gti just over a year ago. Frustrated a mate told...
Nuts!!!. All good for one day and she is playing up again. I still have to put a jump leat from the block to the neg terminal to get the 172 to start. Time to take Nicole to the garage.
I second that. Bought my ph2 172 with 60mm springs and it was awful! Crashed and banged everywhere. First thing I did was source a set of 172 cup springs. Thing drives superbly now.
Might not have worded it well there, all belts and pulleys included the dephaser. It was replaced but it does sound a bit rough on start up. Bit like a blow out and only for a minute.
