You connected to wifi straight away on your iPhone? Mine does it within a few seconds to my PC, Mac and iPad when I get home.

I'm liking the way notification centre updates in realtime across devices. In particular, on the lock screen. I can have lock screen notifications of emails on both mobile devices, read the emails on my Mac, and the messages disappear from notification centre accordingly.

Couple of things really annoying me currently:

1. Photo stream. I have an empty album that I cannot get rid of. I have no idea where it came from, or how to get rid of it.

2. Not iOS5 specific, but I want to setup personal hotspot for my ipad. I am on an iphone tariff from about 4 years ago that includes truly unlimited data, of which I use a LOT of. They now want me to change tariff to a current one as the old ones 'dont support hotspot' which translates to me as ' we want you on a capped 500mb service before we give you hotspot', so f**k em. I'll just jailbreak again when an untethered one is released and use MYWI...

Not as simple as that, but I have sorted it now, posted it on my blog, but should anyone have the same issue:

OK, so after upgrading to iOS5, I setup my phone with iCloud and went to check out the photo stream feature. However, upon opening the photos app, I noticed I had two photo streams visible; one with pictures in, and a blank/empty album. After hours of messing around trying to figure out how to get rid of the secondary empty account, I came to the conclusion that this empty album was a result of having two apple IDs. One for purchases and one for email, i.e. a former mobileme account. To get rid of the empty folder, just do the following:
1. Delete your current iCloud account.
2. Sign into iCloud with your other email address you initially set the phone up with.
3. Turn on photo stream.
4. Take a picture and wait for it to appear in photo stream.
5. Turn off photo stream and delete photos.
6. Delete the iCloud account.
7. Sign in with your primary iCloud account email.
hey presto, you should now only have one photo stream album!

Agree with this. Like the way it runs a 'feed' down to lock screen of notifications. Simple, clean and effective.

Notifications should have the option to just display badge counts, for example with emails if you disable previews you still see who the sender is, so it still "leaks" information. However, if you had the option to show badge counts on the lock screen it could just show "4 new mails" etc.

mines gone quickly downhill, as well as the speed of the phone, menus seem to take a few seconds to open now.

the battery thing is all this location and push stuff going on for the message centre etc. so much data happening now, i can see people hitting their data limits very soon too.

even checking the weather now activates data and gps to show the local weather where you are etc. iMessage must be doing some sort of push service too.

i've had my phone run out of battery mid evening twice now since the update, my phone never used to get below 50% for a day!

I'm not getting no email notifications at all since up dating to i0S5. Before updating i got the email noise and notification on the email badge , since updating i get nothing , no noise , no badge notification and no new fangled lock screen notification. I have to go into the inbox for it to re-update the latest mails.

Checked email settings and everything seems to be fine ' push ' is on.

Any ideas?

Yep mine too.

So far so good though, seems to be doing everything Sir Steve said it would.

BUT.... Wireless syncing when I charge my phone at night is kinda useless as the laptop will be always turned off?! If I had a permanently 'on' external drive would that make any difference? I'm presuming not...

It syncs to iCloud automatically overnight. It syncs wirelessly with iTunes when ever you tell it.

Completely different.

My 4 is running a bit juddery with IOS5, sometimes takes a while to open an app and catch up with itself - icons randomly becoming invisible too!

mine is running fine (not noticed much difference between iOS4 and 5), just eating the battery quicker.

notifications are better, waking up in the morning to a screen full of info FTL tho lol

wireless syncing is one of the best bits, i no longer have to unplug something to put music on my phone!

dam lack of USB ports... and no i'm not using a hub, i dont trust them.
