Will a 2.25" exhaust fit?

As title really, i've currently got a longlife stainless system with ktec decat, which I guess will be 2.5"?? But I am totally unsure of this tbh.

Now I've been offered a really nice powerflow stealth, but it's 2.25" so am I going to have problems fitting it? Or will it go on somehow? (I intended to keep the decat)

Also, I did pm fred asking him if he'd advise against it but you know fred and PM's... Lol! So am I going to lose serious performance from the smaler pipe??

Guess the decat will be same size as the cat so should fit.

If my longlife is 2.25" I have no problem, but if it's not I'll be wasting a lot of money!!

What's the standard system??

The flange at the cat end will be the same size, but it will reduce down about an inch along the pipe. Std system is 2.25" iirc.

It'll be fine. There are little or no gains to be had with the extra quarter of an inch anyway.

I think standard is 2.25. Most aftermarket ones are 2.5.

I did warn you! That and the fact theres only one (small) silencer.

Its a K-tec decat so any system should fit straight on no problems.

Well I have a 2.25 Powerflow and not had a spot of bother with it in 2 and half years. Sounds just right for my liking with a sports cat on.

Well you know my thoughts on it. I took it back 3 times before they made it anywhere near what I wanted it to be. And I still didn't like it.

So if I was you, yes i'd change it but it would be low on my list of priorities! lol.

If its any help.. The pipe will fit.. The flanges on the decat would be the same size as on a standard cat, so it would fit fine..

UNLESS.. KTec have a different sized flange on their exhaust system that only matches their own decat (if you get what I mean)

2.25 will be fine if properly developed to maximise the flow taking into acount things like pulse tuning and using mandrel bends

Hmm, cheers Frederico, I'm gonna go for it, as its not like I'm buying new, so if I don't like it, then I'll sell it on.

Would you say it'll loose a noticeable amount of power?

At the moment, the longlife system seems a bit pants tbh..a bit old and tattered... so maybe it'll be an improvement... lol!



Daniel, I didn't realise you put this one, I assumed the "middle" owner did.... Why did you take it back?
