Speed sensor needs replacing mate and as it's a ph1 you will find it located on top of the gearbox

Ah, thought as much Is it an easy enough thing to do myself? (I'm not particularly mechanically minded but not stupid!)

Very easy as long as you can find it mate, takes about 10 minutes to change. Basically look down the back of the engine, there's something sticking out of the top of the gearbox.

Pain in the ar5e job as you need to take off the air filter box before you can get to it.....then iirc it's 2 bolts holding it on to the gearbox.

Is there anything you don't know about Clio's mate lol?

No mate but re-reading my answer I can see why you asked lol.....nah it's just a pain because the air filter has to come off before you can get to the sensor
