Which part do I need....?

This is becoming a nightmare!

Yesterday discovered my TRE are gone.

renault cant order the part unless I know what rack i have.

Two different TRE's to choose from??

Anybody help with this? Its doing my head in, no one seems to be able to help from the suppliers!!

been over this before (this maybe for a 172, it was a while ago)

drivers side

so from the above we can conclude that there's 4 different racks, 3 of which use the same rod ends

so technically you have 2 rod ends to choose from, TRW or the other 3 (all the same part number)

under the car, above the dogbone, on the rack is a big white sticker, it will say on there

Whats the main difference between the two track rod ends?

Is there an obvious way to distinguish from the end itself? Mine are female for example?

One last question...

If you shop around you can pick a TRE for about £15. Renault charge £45ish. Is better to pay the dosh and get the reno one?

again i can't remember using non gen bits on one, you may struggle getting the right ones, if need be let me know and i can sort you out cheaper

Confirmed... its an SMI rack.

What sort of cost would i be looking at for the offside TRE? should I give you a PM
