wheel bearing symptoms

what are the symptoms of a front wheel bearing problem as my n/s front is rough under hard acceleration, is the bearing fault ?

Mine hummed all teh time when it was on it's way out. It actually became inaudiable between 45-55 and then came back above that lol

every wheel bearing problem ive had, has resulted in a humming noise which can get quite unbearable.

Not 100% certain but i think they start to make a noise when faulty.

perhaps you should take a look at your suspension, mounts, wishbone, bushes, driveshaft, cv joint etc..

have checked suspension and ok its like the wheel is slipping in stages rather than just wheel spinning as it should also get some bouncing through the suspension.

my bearing sounded like humm up to something like supercharger wine at around 70mph. Decided it was front left becuase steering left would stop it.

Does the car seem to drive straight then kink then drive straight again? And clunk going round corners? I've suspected wheel bearing but someone suggested it could be drive shaft. How do I check on a Clio? (Sorry for post hijack)

when cornering hard right it happens but not as much as hard acceleration. any one know how to check drive shfts on a 172 cup ?

This isn't the strut top knocking problem is it? The one where you need a washer or something to fix it?
