Right, ive got a BB De-catted stainless zorst an my valver and its constantly rattling - driving me mad in fact - so id like to know what difference it actually makes??
Would i be better getting a std one and lashing all the money into the engine but maybe keep the de-cat??
I ve been thinking this lately as well. I am concerned about mid range punch. Is the standard exhaust resrictive? I was thinking of running a supersprint manifold with decat then standard exhaust system.
Same here! I cant see there being that much difference in power (the 172 has a similar bore and is a more powerful car anyway so there shouldnt be any lose going back to standard. The only concern i have would be that if i had a manifold and/or decat the packing in the rear silencer might break up.....
Not much help really but ive got a standard exhaust and every valver ive raced has had an aftermarket exhaust and theyve got nowhere from me so i cant see it makin much of a difference really! Does make em sound nice though!
