What are these?

Hi, excuse my ignorance but I just cracked off the bubble wrap on my new wheels and found the bag with the bolts in, I understand that far. But what are these alien little black plastic things that came with it. After a bit of male intuition and fiddling I realise they fit exactly into the back of the wheel, where it touched the hub I'm guessing.

Can anyone confirm their purpose or something? Cheers: pics..

they are little wheel spacers to fit on the back of the alloys incase the hub is slightly too small.
on the reverse side of the alloys there should be a groove for them to sit in

On my old car I didn't fit them to begin with and it felt like the wheels weren't balanced - was perfect once the spigots were on :)

Ah yeah, now you come to mention it, why did I get a set of 4 bolts and seperate key even though I've got enough loose bolts in the bag? Batman can you shed any light?
