passive subs dont have the built-in amp, its the ACTIVE subs that have a built-in amp! i have replaced my kenwood sub with a Vibe CBR10" Active EVO 1300w with 900w rms and a 450w rms amp built-in. its being delivered today (should've been here y'day!) and im gonna use my spare amp to amp my components!!
its upto you really. theres different factors to consider like boot space, money, what music ur playing, etc. etc.
all i know is that you havent got enough power for either the 2 mutants or a single passive blackair. look at the active blackairs, they've gotten pretty good reviews and it takes all the thinking out of it about which amp to get and all that! im only an amateur but i know you cant jus get ANY amp to match up with ANY sub. the power ratings need to be right. thats what makes active subs so easy. and anyway if u decide u want more power with ur active sub then u could always hook up a second amp to it? or use ur old amp to power ur speakers!!
