Work provided us with some tiny little macro PC thing to use at home and same in the office. No CD drive, just USB ports and a USB-C.
For the last 4 or 5 months, I've used a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack convertor to push the music from my PC into the RCA inputs on my amp at home. I also used the same for my headphone at work and it all worked fine....... until they installed a new phone system in the office. Everytime I plugged my headphones in, the PC would crash. Wasn't too much of an issue as I could use the telephone headset to listen instead (just wasn't as great a sound).
Fast forward to this week, and all of a sudden I've go no sound at home through my amp. Checked all connections on the back, inputs etc. If I plug the 3.5mm jack into my phone, it work fine and plays the music. But not connecting via the USB-C convertor.
If I unplug it and plug it back in, I get a pop up saying it is not recognised. Could this just be a case of installing a driver update, or do we think the actual convertor has died?
