Tyre pressures

  Clio 182 / Focus ST
im going on my first track day next week (novice day) what sort of tyre pressure am I looking to put in my standard 182 wheels?
I'm not going to be going absolutely crazy as its my first one and it's a novice day and I want to learn.
Any advice would be appreciated :D

Thank you for the advice. I was tempted to stick to standard road pressures but thought it best to double check with the oracles on here :D

Try 26/28 front
30 rears
Also depends on tyres your using.
In fiestas we used to have fronts lower and rears higher 22/24 - 32/40 depending on conditions

There is Michelin Pilot super sport on there at the moment. I know not really a 'track' tyre but again it's just my first time so I'm not going to be going mega silly :D

Good tyres, there's not many people who give it full beans in their road car on track, IMO, 30 front 32 rear hot will be a good base pressure, just check the pressure when you come in and knock them down. You will be surprised how the temp goes up, even on a cold day.
Have fun and keep it on the black stuff :)

Pilot Super Sport in 16"?

You sure?
My thoughts exactly, unless the owner knows something we don't.

As said I'd also go with 33 and 30. With my Clio around Cadwell during a wet November on nearly worn Conti CS3s up front and Toyos on the rear it put up a very good fight against the other cars. I am not a great driver but I was overtaking the vast majority of things on track ; GT86s, Caterhams and to my surprise a 205 GTi on AD08Rs, although the weather may have been in his favour. One or two S2000s were also being shown a thing or two as well. IIRC only a few cars got past me that day including a Mk2 Golf GTi which I think was on Toyo R888s amazingly, a Honda S2000 which was neck and neck with me on most corners (that was on 18" Michelin Super Sports, and Koni Dampers all round) in addition to a very fast Scooby which decimated just about everything ; I think that was on NS-2Rs oddly enough.

My car was a stock 172 with 172 Cup Turinis back then as well. It will be interesting to see how the 15s behave on track.
