What connection does a TV need to have so you can plug your PC into it?

Ideally VGA or DVI.

Or your graphics card may have an S-Video or composite (yellow socket) out. If you have a composite output from the graphics card you will be able to plug that into a composite input on the TV or put that in to a RCA (phono) to scart converter and put it into a scart input, either way they will come through on AV channels.
