Tuning capabilities with a supercharger??

would if be as easy to improve performance as it with turbos??? what are the advantages of a supercharger over a turbo??? im thinking about getting a corrado g60.

lower down power across the whole rev range.

i prefer the sound, less of a violent kick on boost.
