I stuck a few pictures up in my other thread , but as this one is a clio so thought I would give it’s own post in here.
After selling trophy #57 around 5 years ago, just before the big price hike I thought I would never have another due to the cost now.
I originally set out to look for a 172 cup to have as a long term resto, I was talking to Stu from Renomotive and well one thing led to another and I ended up buying his Trophy.
It’s a well used car that’s lived a life 😂 including light front end damage when it was only a couple of years old.
Renomotive had looked after the car for the previous owner before buying it. It was then used for daily use and a Nürburgring trip, it has had a lot of mechanical work but cosmetically it needs a full repaint ideally.
Before picking it up from Stu , I had Sponge from on here to give the car a full cut to try and bring it back to red as the car was pink.
He worked his magic and made the car useable again until I look at paint next year.
The passenger wing and door had bad previous paint which couldn’t really be saved , so a replacement door and wing was soured and fitted this week.
Inside is fairly tidy bar a well worn Sabelt wheel, that I’m going to attempt to save.
I’ve also never liked the basic trophy rear bench so have fitted a half leather one with headrests.
You can see how far off the previously painted door was it sort of faded from dark red to trophy red.
