Throttle body

Took mine off today to clean as a last resort to try and resolve my non starting problem but noticed there was a gap all the way round it, you could push it so it closed more and it closed the gap, is the normal?

See picture!

There has to be a bit of a gap there otherwise the engine wouldn`t be able to get air on idle and it would cut out.

A while after yeah, doubt it's the problem though because the pump was priming for a while after I cleaned my relays.

Might be a long shot but I think it could be something to do with my faulty UCH.

u might ave muddled up the relays and put them back in a different place. Causein the car 2 display different fault, 2 the first fault. The relays are a common problem. They r cheap has chips 2 buy. i would replace them.

Yeah I've read they tend to corrode and stop working, I never switched the position of the relays though and only cleaned up the blacks ones that are located in the engine bay.

there has to be a gap around the butterfly to let in air for the engine to idle!

I'd look to your coils for the starting problem.
