Yep this has happened before all the work should be done under warently sounds like either the garage don't check stuff or its not a proper full UK Renault warently.
You can get a brand new engine installed for under £2k.

yes its a common fault i believe if the aux belt snaps it can in some circumstances go onto the cam belt n cause problems hapends to a couple of members if remember correclt providing its changed at 36k shouldnt have n e wories .

ok it has happened before this milage but very rare

my aux belt started to "screech" at 25k, straight to the garage & it was rubbing on another belt - all replaced under warrenty.
