Can a sub be connected up to the original ph1 172 cassete player?

I did a search on here and too many posts came up and not ones that helped in this instance.

Not directly, But you can add a small low level output filter to one of your rear speakers. It's output can then supply a audio feed to your sub.

Not perfect but a quick and cheap get around.
