stub axle

Hi all,ive got a 1.8 rsi on a p reg and was wondering can i put a FRONT stub axle on from a 1.4/1.2 model as mine has a stud snapped off where the bolt is risted in and instead of stud extracters etc im going to replace the axle.thanks for hellp

the hubs are the same but the knuckle / stub axle is different

in what way? is it that the driveshaft end is different or something else?
