Stealth Exhaust - Improved MPG??

  Black Ph2 172
Hey guys,

Since having my exhaust fitted my average MPG has risen by about 3-4 mpg - strange considering I have done nothing different apart from change the cat back and have actually been accelerating a lot harder, more frequently to hear the lovely exhaust note (lol) - could it be the stealth has improved mpg?

It's more than likely the weight difference between mild steel
and stainless.

The stealth's aren't that much lighter are they?

I have a stealth fitted to mine, and if anything my mpg has dropped a little.

I diddn't have the correct 172 exhaust on mine when I bought it
I only found this out when buying a GDI Stealth.

Andy said the stealth was alot lighter than the one I had on.

But I guess that only applied to my car.

In theory yes but if you gun it everywhere and hang onto revs longer just to hear the note it'll probably use more fuel.
