spring rate help, for my ledas

for the front i was thinking 300lbs on 2.25" dia (8 inch spring)

for the rear was thinking 400lbs on a 2.0" (5" spring)

car is fast road, weekend use. i hope to be on a few tracks this year too (im going to th ering in march)

car has

Leda adjustable shocks
full multipoint weld-in cage inc rear weld in brace
powerflex wishbone bushes
182 ARB
poweflex 182 roll bar bushes and 26mm clamps
whiteline rear 1.2 deg shims
Leda camber bolts

im also looking to add

solid top mounts
weld in front brace (for a bit of "stiffness" and more for the looks at shows)



what are the thoughts on the rates?

any other sugesstions?

400lbs for the rear seems quite high?

Would have thought softer for gentler rear end breakaway?

the gdi kit has 700lbs or sommet LOL

its an unknown area for me, but 700 sounds high, id have to have a spin before i made my mind up

700lbs would be rock solid, surely?

I think the williams runs 200lb-ish springs as standard, and that's not exactly a model of comfort! lol

spring rates depend on overall weight, tyres, damper frequency's, height etc etc.

We had a complicated math's equation of sorting it out but then again we knew what shim stacks etc were in our shocks.

Best off speaking to someone like mark fish.
