Spraying Gear Knob

Hey, i was wondering how i would go about spraying a gear knob i bought off ebay

As you can see its a textured/3D one instead of just a vinyl covered one. I'd like to spray it silver to match my old gear knob and the interior strip things.

How can i keep the numbers and gear tracking part black while spraying the rest silver. Would i have to use a really thin brush and a different type of paint, then go over it?

Think you would have to spray it first then get get a little brush and some like airfix paint or something like that.

I sprayed mine and the dash strips work fine.

ther insert just pulls out so very easy to spray.

Mate, ive got one fully primed and ready to be sprayed, it is the smooth one and ive got a decal for it with the gear changes.
