A friend of mine has recently bought a K reg Clio 1.4 with a dead speedo. After a hunt under the dash he found that it wasn't the dials at fault so started looking at the cable itself. I quote:
" have pulled the cable out but there is a "locating sleeve" which did have two clips holding it in place but they have been snapped off before i got to it and now the sleeve will not pull out. on the bottom of the sleve there is a metal part which i dont want to drop into the gear box (for obvious reasons). we have tried prety mutch everything once the cable came out of the clip in the back of the gear box leaving the clip and the metal parts in as well we have tried to pull the remaining parts out with WD 40, mole grips, pliers, long nosed plyers, screwdrivers of varying sizes."
If anyone can be of any help it would be much appreciated
