Snapped Steering wheel airbag plug!

Afternoon,

I have broken two cables that are on my 182 squib.
One , the black cruise control plug. I think this should be fixable with an experienced auto electrician?
The other is the yellow and orange airbag cable.
I am fitting an aftermarket wheel, the black plug came part when feeding it through the hub and the yellow and orange one literally came apart while I was tapping the resistor into it!
I tried to solder the resistor straight on to the snapped airbag cable but failed.

So my question is, do I need a new squib or can these cables be fixed?
If it is a new squib, then I have another problem. It appears a previous owner has snapped the tab to remove the volume stalk and then glued it back into place.
Meaning I cannot get it off to take the plug off the back of it should I need to replace the whole squib.

You know when yo start something and you wish yo hadn’t…..

If anyone has experienced any of these problems and resolved it I would be very grateful for your comments.
