I GET MY CAR FRIDAY (182) I HAVE HAD MY QUOTE ONLINE OFF DIRECTLINE INSURANCE I RANG THEM TODAY JUST TO CHECK AND THEY SAID THEY CANT INSURE ME COS IM ONLY 21 AND HAVE GOT THE CUP PACKS. STANDARD THEY SAID WAS OK BUT WITH DEALER EXTRAS THEY CANT DO IT SO WHAT DO I DO NOW

cup parks are classed as standard as they are fitted at the factory!

When I told Tesco I had the Cup pack option they said it was included in the value of the car as it was supplied by the factory that way.

They are not dealer extras, its how it left the factory, call them again and find someone who knows. Speak to the underwriters if you have to.

if theyre an option then theyre not standard...

try liverpool victoria or similar for a quote... directline are crap for mods, believe me, i know, lol

thing is, i thought they were ok with 21 and over when it comes to modifications...

Phone and explain they are factory fitted options. If your car was written off, Renault could supply it as you purchased it. Its not modified in any way shape or form and the price you paid for the car included the options you specified.

The first person I spoke to at Tesco wanted an extra £180 off me for the Cup packs, so I called back and spoke to someone else who knew what they were doing!! I did tell them at the time of taking the policy out that they are on the car.

Yep, Factory fitted options should be included.

Its not a modification.

On my policy with Admiral, my mods are simply Induction Kit and Exhaust. No mention of cup packs

When you finish on the phone to Renault/Insurance Company - give PC World a ring eh.

If they think they are dealer fit options they will consider it as a modification from standard Renault spec thus charge you more or not insure you.

your all saying its should be ok, but at the end of the day if the insurance company (however wrong)wont insure him because of them then thats it, best thing is to try another company and hopefully they will have half a brain

ha ha ha its only wrting dont cry got it sorted now greenlight did it for £50 less but with £450 excess so im very happy thanks everyone . p.s.badinvincible did i mention your sister looks nice
