Service light

Service light has just popped up but I serviced the car myself around 5k ago, does the light pop on after certain mileage or does it sensor it somehow? Also how can I turn this light off? Will an obd2 code reader be able to clear it? thanks in advance.

Its not related to mileage or service intervals at all iirc.

Yea I'd get it plugged in and see what it says.

SERV light normally comes on when something is unplugged, sounds like you forgot to reconnect something or a plug has popped off

You're right forgot to reconnect, the airbag switch on the passenger door /facepalm
