Scorpion RS192 exhaust very loud at motorway speeds

Everything I've read suggests that this exhaust should be reasonably quiet at motorway speeds (70 - 80).

Mines very loud / boomy at this speed but gets noticeably quieter at 95 - 105!

My car still has the original cat fitted though the emissions light is on. I guess this is because the mount between the manifold and cat had failed when I bought the car and I needed to have a new mount fitted. I guess water or something may have got in and damaged the cat?

MPG seems fine (averaging about 32).

Any ideas?

cant comment on the exhaust you have, i have had four different exhaust on two 172s and 70-80 around 3000rpm in the loudest point, and this can be driven past so it goes quieter.

I fitted the rs 192 today with de cat and the short trips I've had I wouldn't have said mine was boomy when cruising at any speed, more when you're lightly accelerating up to speed. Sounds fine at full throttle and idling
