Running a cold air feed

Hey there,

Just installed my Maxogen last night. (It's the shiz) RS 172 Mk2.

I was wondering if I could remove the butterfly valve? I think that's what it's called. It's just above the horn under the wheel arch. If I can take this out, it would be much easier to route the intake hose.

A small hose leeds from this, into the throttle body. see below. I take it is something to do with idle control? Do we need it?

Thanks! Not my pic by the way.

my maxogen came with a little cap that you put on to block it off !!!

So that's what that little rubber thing was for!

How about the small polished oval shaped bracket with the rubber?

What the hell is that for?

Echo that...Hence why i'm gettin a proper hillpower 90o best than one without the breather.

It's connected to the valve underneath the wheel arch near the fog light, i want to take that out so I can run the intake hose properly.

It's a blanking plate. It seals the hole where the OE air feed was positioned and sels the area behind the headlight away from enigine heat.
