RSi’s - Bad on fuel

Been out in my mates RSi the past couple of days and the fuel consumption seems terible!?

It uses much more than my valver!

Is this normal?

  don't

no

mine was doing 100 miles to £10, and 150 to £15, even if i was raggin the sh!t out of it

although exhaust is blowing now, and have de-cat and air filter prob needs changing so only getting about 85 to £10 at moment

need to sort it asap dont i

but when i got it, was best car id had for fuel economy

Hes got a K+N filter, no blowing and hes had it on a diagnostic machine and all is well.

Maybe thats how they are......God knows!

  don't

the k&n probably doesnt help if its an open filter

more air , more fuel, not gd if its taking in hot air either

might be dirty or clogged up aswel

might just need a good service, not sure

just know mine used to be great for petrol, and at moment its not so gd, but exhaust is blowing fair bit so ill have to see when ive fixed that

Hmm ill ask him when the last time he had it serviced was.

It may be down to our driving styles too i spose. It just seemed far worse than my car when surely they should be about the same.

He put a tenner in at about 7pm and it was gone by 12. Not sure how many miles but not many! Probs 50ish? Mine would use about a fiver.
