Removing Light

The car is a 2004 04 plate Clio 1.2 Dynamique.

I've had a light on the dash that looks like a coil, its to the left of the fuel light when you're low. The car is fine, but this light has been on ever since I've had it diagnostically tested. Is there a way of removing this light?

I've had a search on here, and found out about an inertia switch, but I'm unsure as to whether pressing that will make the light just go out. Any advice, cheers.

hi, i have the same light come on on my 1.2 dynamique, it only comes on intermitently though so never really get the chance to get it checked whilst its on... but anyway, the light usually comes on when i come to a stop i.e slowing down and pressing the clutch in. the revs drop from usual idle (1000) to only 500.. sometimes if i have to stop quick the engine will cut out an will need restarting... only when drivin calmly at a constant speed the light goes out and the car goes back to normal again.. very strange indeed.. i do not know what is causing it or how to fix it but just thought id tell you so you know your not on your own lol

Isn't the coil light only intended for Diesels?

What did the diagnostic test show up? With the light on there is a permenant fault in the ECU.
