remaps?group n ecu?superchips?

  titanic killer
is it best to mod ya car first i.e exhausts, filter and stuff then group n? what does a remap and chip do?can you do all ov these?

speaking to nick at hillpower , he said the group N ecu is very well suited to normal breathing modifications as exhausts and IK are concerned . The remap is deared but will set up tp your specific mods ..... breathing , exhausts and inlets , cams as well .

i'd recommend you do all the mechanical mods you want 1st then get a good remap at then end .

thanks, would you get the same bhp from the remap as you would the group n? so i guess no one does the superchip route then,is it one or the other?

i cant comment on the superchip route but all 3 have their good points , i'd would defo talk to individuals who have had the work done before deciding on the route for yourself .

also talk to the specialists too , but they'll obviously recommend their own product .

All the above are just about the same. I will explain:

Superchips:
Superchips are a BRAND of chiptuning (weather OBD or physical chip change) This is a modified version on the OEM software and loaded back to the ECU. Usually known as "off the shelf"

Group N:
Again a standard OEM software which was modified to suit basic breathing mods, this usually comes in the form of a complete ECU which will auto pair to your UCH when powered. There are many "Group N" remaps on the market but IMO most are just custom software and not an official Group N.

Remaps:
In theory a remap is a custom emulation of the stock software and changed in realtime while running the car from the laptop.
This is not really the case on most forums and other info sites on the net. Instead these are called "live remap" Great if done correctly but expect to pay big money for the right one and it should take at least a full day!

The term people usually use for remap is a custom modification made to the OEM software to suit specific mods which is tailored to each and every vehicle. Very good results if done properly and you can even change the map to suit more major mods such as cams.

The latter method is the one we ususally use and find the most efficient and cost effective for the end user!

Cheers
