Rear wheel trouble, never heard of any problem like this before :S

  clio
Hi everyone, i was coming back from London on friday, when i got in the car, i tried to reverse out of a parking spot, but the car wouldnt reverse it would seize up as if the handbreak was on. I pushed it back and drove out the spot, took it round the block, and tried reversing again, it worked fine, so i thought it must have bein a temp seizure. Anyway as i got on the m11 the rear o/s wheel made a terrible grinding noise, until i pulled over, i thought i had a flat, but all the wheels were fine, i also noticed the handbreak after the noise had got alot lighter when i pulled it up or down.

I recently had the bearing changed on that same wheel (rear o/s) do you think it could have bein some dogdy mechanic work that lead to the problem?

Eventualy i got towed home as i didnt want to risk anymore damage, a 6hour trip back to wolverhampton.

I appreciate its hard to diagonose a problem like this but if anyone has any advice on any likely problems or if anyone has bein in the same postion, i would be hugely grateful to some advice.

Thanks.
