Rear brakes phase 1 172?

Local mechanic tried to sort out my handbrake problem and found that one of my rear calipers is sticking. I've asked him if I can book it back in with him to get it sorted but he seems reluctant to do it - anyone got any advice on how to sort it - 172 phase 1???

New caliper (or replacement) is the best bet I'd think rarther than hastle fixing the old one.

No idea £100 or so I'd think but least everything that need replacing is replaced then.

get a new caliper, they stick because the seals are crap on them £52 exchange with brakes international ,

Right - we've had it back on the ramps today and both of the rear calipers are swivelling but virtually no action.

Is the easiest fix just to replace them both as Edde and 16v jon have suggested or could I be missing an easier fix?

I just rang Brakes International and they wanted £240 for both rear calipers including delivery - and £40 back when they receive my old calipers!!!!!

I feel like I've been violated!!

why dont you phone around your local motorfactors

buypartsbuy.co.uk seem pretty good on prices without a trade account so give them a ring and ask for a price on a caliper
