Rear arches bubbling

Noticed the paint has started to bubble on the rear arches and bodyshop said they could fix it but no guarentee it won't happen again as it's due to the bumper catching on it.

With that in mind don't fancy shelling out to get them resprayed, any ways to stop it spreading?

Fix bumper, shouldn't be catching on arch.

Then Sand down rust to bare metal and treat with a rust converter etc (Bilt hamber hydrate 80) or either etch primer (if all rust removed) then paint over with aerosol and lots of masking tape or touchup kit and small brush.

I had this problem along with a large dent under the fuel cap that got all fixed.

Don't know if I fancy spending that kind of money on respray on it due to the age and miles on it, Yours is looking good though.
