ANYONE had already installed a re-mapped ecu on his car?

it's for my 172 mkII....i ordered one from k-tec..

Best do a seach see who's used one . I cannnot remmeber who's used the Ktec one.

thought the k-tec was just a Grp N (rsport)...?

im going to get a grp n ecu sumtime nxt week, cant decide where to get it from, are all grp n ecus the same from different compaines? ir, k tec and gdi?

IT'S 250 POUNDS...I didn't receive it yet..i'll let you know about the performance when i install it.

I have smt6 and alot of people have commented that its tough to keep up with.lol. Thats comparing to a 182 and 172 cup. I am reasonably happy, although probably bought it way too soon.

Smt7 is the new one?

I don't like the idea of the smt/omex. Piggybacks. More to go wrong and there is limitations to both.

What mods have you got Dave?

I've been running a SMT6 for over a year now - never had a problem with it.. *touch wood*

Most group N ecu remaps are about the same , there is only so much you can do to the mapping on a standard NASP engine.

Some companys alter the rpm limit to suite there needs.
