does idle speed control valve mean the same as idle speed control motor?

an idle speed control moter operates the throttle butterfly directly(part of the throttle body) this type is on your rt clio.an idle valve is a separate air bypass valve which controls a regulated amount of air that is bypassed past the throttle body.eg,16v clio,rsi clio,8v lagunas etc
