Problems with my 182FF

  clio182 sport ff
Have a couple of problems that my local garage is having trouble diagnosing and wonder if anyone here can shed some light...

1) Get a strong burnt rubber smell directly in the car on turning. On turning sharply same smell, but the windows mist up directly. Any ideas?:S

2) Lost throttle response and when I depress the accelerator all the way to the floor there is a strange feeling in the pedal whereby the last few centrimeters are somewhat 'dead'

3) Have a whining noise that seems to be coming from front left of the car that disappears directly on braking, but remains on deceleration. Get it at higher speeds and after I have driven hard for a short while (20mins at 80-90mph)

Please please advise
Thanks

do the windows steam up even with out the heaters on ?

I take it the garage have driven the car and have experienced the faults ?
Im thinking possibly the whinning noise and the burnt rubber smell are some how related but not sure

what are the garages view on it, have they give you any possibilitys ?

yes windows steam up without heater on, and instantaneously.
my current theory is that the smell on cornering is something rubbing (and causing the burnt smell) and on hard cornering it blocks something with the ventilation system

garage have not said anything so far and on test driving could not repeat my experiences......
I will take the mechanic out for a test drive myself.

Im struggling with this 1 im thinking along the lines of the heater matrix is possibly starting to fail/leak causing your windows to steam up ?

Do the heaters still work ok ?

yeah heaters OK normally...
the fact that it mists up is temp dep i.e. if its cold outside. So I'm guessing the misting up is just an indication of something getting blocked. I can clear the mist with the heater, though have not tried to do this simultaneously...which would tell me if it was a blockage in the heater matrix system I guess....
Does the heater matrix usually break on 182's??...went on my old Corrado VR6 ...it was a hell of job, since the whole dash had to come out....
