Pre-Wax Wash

Just a quick query -

Last weekend I PC'd my car with 2 coats of Meguiar's #80 then topped it with Megs #21 :approve:

The car as it sits is just a bit "dusty" from a few trips during the week
Am I right thinking the paintwork will be ok to shampoo & apply wax?

I am taking it to the local BP to give the alloys and the backbox a quick "rinse" but don't want to touch the paintwork as it still needs waxed

See no reason why you shouldn't. One wash will not strip off the products you have already put on. Am assuming you will be using a decent shampoo.

Megs NXT wash then Megs #16 mirror glaze wax

Yeah just wash it and wax it. Decent wash mitt and the two bucket method so not to swirl up that nicely polished finish.

You paint is protected anyway as you have sealed it with the #21

yup - worked out nicely

Power-rinsed the wheels and the tailpipes out - dried on the way home

Shampoo'ed with NXT wash then a good cover with NXT Tech wax - good results in the end :approve:

Wheels are still mucky so I'll have to give them a bath in the morning before I go
