phase 1 vvt pully

  RenaultSport 182
recently bought an odessey blue ph1 172, with only 48950 miles on clock, cam belt had been changed at 45200 miles , but i discovered that the vvt pully was worn and it was rattling like a diesel on tick over. i rang around and ktec quoted the best price, problem was i live 205 miles from ktec, even with the cost of fuel it was cheaper than a local specialist.we decided to make a day of it , we left home at 4.45am , 40 miles from ktec the exhaust cracked and by the time we arrived the back box was hanging on the floor. the car went straight in at 8.30 . the exhaust wanst a cost i was expecting , and they didnt have my first choice in stock, they kindly offered a courtesey car and we went off for the day into poole and bournemouth. we got back at 3.15pm and they were just finishing off fitting the new stealth exhaust. they did hit a problem the timing was out slightly which meant a partial strip down to adjust , which meant we didnt leave there till 6.15pm , they didnt have time to do the group n remap i wanted , how ever they supplied one of there panel filters free of charge, because of the deylay. we eventualy arrived home at 10.15 in all an 18hour round trip. the car feels sharper and the exhaust has a deep throaty sound . the service we received from ktec was excellent, the receptionist daryl [a lady ] is very polite and friendly and sean the sales manager cares about the service they provide . if anybody is considering using them i would definatley recommend them. also i had a drive in there black project car which is also a phase 1 , awsome brakes, carbon lorraine pads they are the way to go.

the pulley was just over £100 , the switch was £83 , with labour and club discount it was £506 , my car had only had the cambelt changed 3000 miles ago so belt and tensioner were ok.
