ph2 airbox on ph1

can the airbox from a ph2 172 fit a ph1 172. my mate has the one he took off his car and i need one so hoping it can fit or be made to fit

any help is great

I think you wil have problems, not sure for definate, but for a start one is a cone filter (mk1 172) and the other is a panel

You may also have some problems if you are changing teh elbow that comes from the inlet manifold, as the air pipe that connects into it comes in at a different angle, on the two models, so will interfere with teh throttle cable. You won't get the problem on a mk2 172 due to the fly-by-wire
