Ph1 172 alarm problems???

My mates ph1 172s alarm goes off whenever locking the car using the central locking button. He either has to manually lock all the doors or wait for the auto locking to arm itself.

Anyone heard of this before?

ive not heard of that

but when mine goes off you cant turn it off again!! lol
have to wait till it does it itself.

does it go off as soon as he presses the button or after a while?

If its a standard Renault fit one strip it off and throw it away.

About a second after.

Not sure if its Renault or not but he is getting really annoyed with it.

mine has recently started doing this...

Its like the doors unlock but the alarm doesnt de-activate at the same time, so when you open the door the alarm goes off!

Kinda except the alarm goes off without opening doors, just by unlocking them.

No dude, thats just the sensor.

Mine used to do that, I disconnected the battery, left it a few minutes and reconnected it. Never done it since.

I had to disconnect the battery as it was 5am in the morning lol. Cured it though.
