PC Graphics card advice

  M2 Competition
Hi,

Having recently bought call of duty 4 for the pc ive realised that my graphics card is way out of date. In order to use as much of the graphics settings as possible, anyone able to recommend any graphics cards to someone that knows little about computers... (and nothing that costs £400 and has a fish tank to cool it, lol)

Price vs performance the 8800 GT is a great card but as jacko said, you really need a new comp! I am running a P4 3.2, 2Gb OCZ RAM and a 256Mb GeForce 6800. Installed the UT3 demo last week and only managed to get 10fps on average! Gutted to say the least!

if you have an x300 you are probably on a pci-e set up , but cant be sure. if you can get the model number of your mobo. Depending on the wattage of your psu go for something like a 7800gt or a 7900 they will cost you about 50 quid+ or you could get an x850 for about 35-40
