PC Booting up help!

Right, i've managed to get power to this pc i've got now and it the full system boots up BUT the moniter picks up no signal going through the graphics card. Does the mean that the graphics card is fubared or can they be more to it than that?

has ur mobo got on board graphics aswell? if so take your cards out and use that, if it boots with this they it proberly is ur gfx cards.

haven't you got a crazy system with sli etc?

Yeah it has an onboard gfx card but the monitor connection is frikkin male to female and i've only got male to male cables

have u got sli, if you have try taking a card out etc, both of them wont have gone

Dude, aint that your prob then? you cant connect male to male (as im sure you know)

i have on my other pc but that isn't where i am now..thats at home in office.i'm at my girlfriends house

if your screen is not displaying anything then it could be a number of things, like cpu etc. If its the gfx card then it would normally show by having messed up pixels on the screen etc.

the GFX Card connection on the back of the PC is a female but the onboard is male. The only cable i have is male to male which goes from the monitor to the PC which is why i cant plug it into the onboard

Windows aint installed dude, i'm just using a dos prompt!
