I don't know him but Jon Foz is well know on this forum and I have never heard anything to suggest he is a scammer, he has sold lots of seat subframes.

If you want the product I would suggest you do a bank transfer as requested.
Yea seems like his well known. Im new so just taking extra precussion.
But weird that he wrote "order outside of the UK is only bank transfer" scream scam especially for first timers like me.

Its a two way street. Often people will buy something via Paypal and then make a false claim stating that the parts did not arrive, or the box was empty. Paypal then defend the buyer who gets a refund and the seller loses out.

I'm sure other members who have bought from Jon Foz will post tomorrow (its later here) and hopefully put your mind to rest. Ultimately though its the sellers choice whether to sell something and how to receive payment.

Good luck.

Fair play for exercising caution, I can’t blame you but he is totally legit.

I got stung posting internationally after payment via PayPal. The tracking with the Royal Mail service I used was a bit random once it left the uk so PayPal paid straight out to buyer. It was only 50 quid or so, but now anything international either goes via eBay’s GSP where I post to their distribution centre and they send/track internationally or it’s bank transfer. As a seller, it’s not worth the risk/hassle of using PayPal internationally.

Plus at least if I get scammed in the UK it’s not far to go to drive a car through someone’s living room window as revenge.
